Dylan Moran’s ‘What It Is’ show at cinemas a huge success
Australians can’t get enough of Dylan Moran. Not only was the award winning Irish comedian’s recent ‘What It Is’ tour of Australia & New Zealand a sell out, the show which was captured live during the tour by CinemaLive was screened in cinemas last night as a special encore performance. It was a huge success with many cinemas around the country selling out!
Star and creator of BAFTA Award winning TV Series Black Books, Dylan Moran’s legendary rants have sold out across the world, cementing this unkempt wordsmith’s reputation as one of the foremost comics of his generation. Likened to Dave Allen and labelled ‘the Oscar Wilde of Comedy’, Moran is known for his absurd observation and unique brand of dry humour. He combines his talents as an actor, writer and performer to incredible effect as a master of comedy.
“We are thrilled the Dylan Moran encore event was such a huge success and to be able to give fans one more chance to be a part of Dylan’s hilarious rants and infectious sense of humour! We can’t wait to bring Australian’s more special events like this to their local cinema in the future” said Janelle Mason, Joint Director of CinemaLive.
“The entire cinema was howling with infectious laughter… it was just fantastic, they really enjoyed the show” – Katrine Elliott, CMAX Cinemas Devonport
CinemaLive is giving more and more Australian & New Zealanders the chance to see some of the world’s biggest shows – at their local cinema!
