Aria Award winning children's act and international phenomenon, The Wiggles will be launching CinemaLive's Australian programme with their You Make Me Feel Like Dancing show LIVE in concert via satellite from the Sydney Entertainment Centre on Sunday 21 December, 2008. CinemaLive will broadcast two shows 10am and 1pm AEDT and tickets go on sale today via the fully ticketed CinemaLive website, www.cinemalive.com.
The CinemaLive website features information on all the artists and LIVE events coming your way, as well as details of all participating cinemas. CinemaLive tickets can be purchased through www.cinemalive.com or at your participating cinema box office.
As an Australian first, CinemaLive is set to revolutionise the entertainment industry as we know it. It will change everything. By accessing an impressive schedule of music and entertainment events CinemaLive can deliver exclusive LIVE content via secure satellite, to any cinema, in any location through Australia and New Zealand.
CinemaLive Joint Director Peter Skillman said, "CinemaLive is perfectly suited to countries as geographically vast as Australia and New Zealand. We aim to bridge the gap between city and country. The phenomenal level of take-up from Cinema owners has been nothing short of mind blowing".
Cinema owners – especially outside the metro areas – are enthusiastic; as Andrew Cripps, General Manager, CMAX Cinemas in Palmerston NT said; "CinemaLive is the link that will finally allow the people of Darwin and the Territory the opportunity to share some of the experience of live entertainment that we usually miss out on because we are so far away from everyone."
With the revolution of digital cinema technology, most cinemas have invested in systems that allow them to use their cinemas for applications other than just movies. The CinemaLive secure satellite receiver, decoder box and full Dolby interface with unique activation card is supplied and installed by CinemaLive and its technology providers, Atlab Image & Sound and Skybridge Systems Integration Services, allowing the CinemaLive network to receive exclusive satellite broadcasts.
"With high quality projection systems, 5.1 surround sound, it really is the next best thing to being there. We'll be offering a diverse range of quality product including international artists, rock, pop, comedy, theatre, kids, opera, ballet and sport – all LIVE – all exclusive!" said CinemaLive Joint Director, Janelle Mason.
CinemaLive promises to be larger than LIVE
