1. Who is responsible for your personal data?

CINEMALIVE LIMITED (company number 03883274), trading as CinemaLive (“CinemaLive”, “we”, “us” and “our”), is the data controller for personal data processed through www.cinemalive.com. This means CinemaLive decides why and how that personal data is used.

Our registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, United Kingdom, W1W 5PF. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact info@cinemalive.com.

usheru provides CinemaLive with the website platform and related technical support. For those services, usheru acts as a data processor on CinemaLive’s documented instructions. It does not decide the purposes for which CinemaLive uses visitor personal data. CinemaLive remains the contact for this privacy notice and for requests about your rights.

4. Who receives personal data?

We use suppliers that help us operate the website. They may process personal data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. This includes usheru as our website-platform processor. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users or systems.

If you opt in to the relevant category, Google may receive data through Google Analytics, and Google/YouTube may receive data when you choose to play a YouTube video. If you sign up to the CinemaLive mailing list, we provide your email address to Mailchimp to send those emails. Mailchimp acts as a processor for that service. These providers process data under their own privacy terms. The technologies, purposes, providers and durations are listed in our Cookie Policy.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Google/YouTube, may process personal data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google states that it relies on applicable adequacy mechanisms, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and on standard contractual clauses where required. You can read about these safeguards in Google’s data-transfer frameworks. Mailchimp may also process personal data in the United States and other locations. Its data-processing terms provide for the Data Privacy Framework and, where required, standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum. See Mailchimp’s Data Processing Addendum. For other providers, we will use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, session storage, scripts and similar technologies. Necessary technologies support the website and remember your choice. Analytics and YouTube functionality are optional and are not used unless you give the relevant consent.

You can choose Accept all, Reject all or Customize settings when you first visit. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using Cookie Settings in the footer. For individual technology names, providers, purposes, durations and third-party access, please read our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive data you provided to us in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can withdraw cookie consent through Cookie Settings.

To make a request, contact us at info@cinemalive.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to the supervisory authority where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, processing activities or legal obligations change. We will publish the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change affects optional technologies or the consent we need, we will ask you to make a new choice before using that new purpose or technology.
